The Fox at Loxley story

In April 2019 The Fox at Loxley came on the market and a dedicated  group of volunteers set about buying the pub and turning it into a Community Pub for Loxley and the surrounding villages.

We were overwhelmed with the interest in creating a Community Pub and our share launch resulted in us raising over £270,000 from 223 investors from across the UK and overseas, this combined with a small loan and grant support from the Plunkett UK was enough to be able to buy the Fox at Loxley. The purchase was completed on the 1st September 2020 and  a dedicated team of volunteers refurbished the pub and we opened as a Community Pub that is more than a Pub in May 2021.

We look forward to welcoming you to a traditional village pub selling quality beers, lagers, ciders and wine and serving traditional home cooked pub food at reasonable prices.

We continue to develop the offering at the Fox and in September 2025 we were pleased to welcome Andy as our new manager and together with a new kitchen team we welcome new and old customers to our traditional British village pub.
