Front of house all rounder
Are you a people person who loves good food, great company, and a friendly local atmosphere? We’re looking for a versatile, enthusiastic All-Rounder to join our small, welcoming team at The Fox at Loxley. In this hands-on role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of pub life — from pouring the perfect pint and serving delicious meals, to helping the kitchen team and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.

What you'll be doing:

Creating a warm and welcoming environment for all our guests.

Serving food and drinks with care and attention to detail.

Supporting the kitchen team when needed (we all pitch in here!).

Keeping the bar, dining, and service areas clean, tidy, and inviting.

Working closely with your teammates to keep things running smoothly, even when it’s busy.

Chatting with guests, answering questions, and helping make their visit special.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks

Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently

Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times

Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system

Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations

Upsell drinks and promotional items to maximise sales opportunities

Provide friendly and attentive guest services to enhance customer satisfaction

Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests
Skills
-
Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable
-
Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanour
-
Basic knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures

Basic maths skills for cash handling and billing purposes
-
Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus
-
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

Ability to work well under pressure during busy hours

Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members

Upselling abilities to promote drinks and maximise sales opportunities

Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
