Are you a people person who loves good food, great company, and a friendly local atmosphere? We’re looking for a versatile, enthusiastic All-Rounder to join our small, welcoming team at The Fox at Loxley. In this hands-on role, you’ll be involved in all aspects of pub life — from pouring the perfect pint and serving delicious meals, to helping the kitchen team and ensuring every guest leaves with a smile.

What you'll be doing:

• Creating a warm and welcoming environment for all our guests.

• Serving food and drinks with care and attention to detail.

• Supporting the kitchen team when needed (we all pitch in here!).

• Keeping the bar, dining, and service areas clean, tidy, and inviting.

• Working closely with your teammates to keep things running smoothly, even when it’s busy.

• Chatting with guests, answering questions, and helping make their visit special.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks

• Take orders from guests accurately and efficiently

• Ensure the bar area is clean, organised, and stocked with necessary supplies at all times

• Handle cash transactions accurately using the till system

• Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with regulations

• Upsell drinks and promotional items to maximise sales opportunities

• Provide friendly and attentive guest services to enhance customer satisfaction

• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service

• Follow all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and guests

 

Skills

• Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is desirable

• Excellent guest service skills with a friendly demeanour

• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures

• Basic maths skills for cash handling and billing purposes

• Experience with food preparation or kitchen operations is a plus

• Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently

• Ability to work well under pressure during busy hours

• Good communication skills to interact confidently with guests and team members

• Upselling abilities to promote drinks and maximise sales opportunities

• Time management skills to ensure timely service delivery
